Clinical Interests: Dr. Odland's practice is general ENT, with special interest in facial trauma and reconstruction. He has additional board certification by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As a former Navy Diving Medical Officer, he has experience with hyperbaric oxygen for treatment of problem wounds and radiation injuries. He sees patients with all ENT problems at Hennepin County Medical Center and at Hennepin Faculty Associates. He has privileges at Fairview-University Medical Center and can see patients there as necessary.

Research Interests: Dr. Odland has wide ranging interests in research. He has federal funding to study the use of tissue ultrafiltration for treatment of tissue injury. Other research projects include inner ear microdialysis, and the use of three-dimensional scaffolding for cell cultures and tissue engineering. Recent publications include rebound edema in skin flaps, sources of funding for research in otolaryngology, and hyperosmosis of cerebral injury.
