Clinical Interests: Dr. Lander is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a fellowship-trained pediatric otolaryngologist. Dr. Lander has special interests in ear surgery, airway reconstruction, cleft lip and palate, and vascular malformations of the head and neck.

Originally from Edina, Dr. Lander attended the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology, earning his B.S. degree with distinction in computer science. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Lander completed his residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of California, San Diego. He then returned home to Minnesota to complete his fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota and practices at Children¿s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Dr. Lander has traveled overseas many times with Children's Surgery International, a Minnesota-based organization that provides surgical care for underprivileged children with cleft lip and palate in foreign countries.

Also a skilled software engineer, Dr. Lander has designed numerous database applications to analyze basic science and clinical research data. Dr. Lander also designed and now helps maintain his practice's electronic medical records (EMR) system.
