Clinical Interests: Dr. Boyer joined the department to increase resident experience and education in allergy and immunology. Along with this, her main clinical interests are sinus and nasal disorders including allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and nasal polyposis. Dr. Boyer also sees patients with general ear, nose, throat, and head and neck complaints. As faculty at the Minneapolis VA she also has experience and interest in the treatment of head and neck cancer.

Research Interests: Allergy and immunology are Dr. Boyer's primary research interests. She has completed research toward her master's degree on the immune system in the inner ear. She has also participated in a study reviewing outcomes of surgery for chronic sinusitis.

Additional interests relating to clinical research are hearing and speech disorders in the hispanic population.
